Castle Hill
A very constrained site in Cambridge provided the location for a development of three flats and three townhouses. The penthouse flat has a panorama of the central historic area, including views of King's College chapel.
Chesterton
Planning permission was obtained for residential units on a site in Cambridge. The area contains buildings of various use classes, in a wide variety of styles: however, it became a planning requirement to reflect the scale and style of the C19 housing in the locality.
The site is surrounded by the mature communal gardens of a block of C20 flats. A very high density of development was achieved by minimizing the boundary treatment between the adjacent areas of garden, so that the new units benefited from the shared outlook.
Rampton
Planning permission was obtained for nine houses on this brownfield site. The house at the entrance to the site reflected the character of the original barns.
